🍋 Health Benefit Great Source of Vitamins & Minerals! |
Oysters and Liver are two amazing foods that are incredibly rich with vitamins and minerals.
Since they are soooo good for you and the health benefits are so incredible, my hubby and I have been trying to get them into our diets more regularly!
However, liver and oysters have such distinct flavors that sometimes they can be hard to palate. We’ve been getting creative in the kitchen to find ways that we like to eat them!
Adam had the idea to make a pâté with liver and oysters! (For those of you who are curious, a pâté is a meat paste that’s usually seasoned with wine, spices or ground up veggies.) Full disclosure – I was not sure if I’d enjoy it or not hahaha. 😅 But, he added Primal Kitchen’s Jalepeño Buffalo Sauce and I have to say that it really added it an extra boost of flavor and made the pâté more tasty!
Hopefully this recipe makes liver and oysters a bit more yummy for you as you reach for your health goals!
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of Smoked Oysters
- 2 cans of Wild-Caught Cod Liver
- 1/4 of an Onion
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of ciantro
- 1/2 cup of Primal Kitchen’s Jalapeño Buffalo Sauce (Or try their traditional Buffalo Sauce! It’s dairy-free!)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
Drain the oils from the canned oysters and liver. Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
Blend until smooth, You can enjoy right away or put in the refrigerator so the pâté “firms up” as it cools.
Enjoy with crackers, cucumbers, or spread on toast!
